一、教学内容:
Story time
二、教学目标:
1.能说出一些有关圣诞的活动,了解西方圣诞节的一些习俗。
2.会复述故事,并利用顺序副词来美化语段。
3.能制定自己的圣诞计划。
三、教学重点:
1. 能熟练听懂,会说,会读,会运用本单元句型:first…next…then…finally…
2. 能正确地理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
四、教学难点
1. 能灵活运用buy, put等动词及短语描述圣诞节有关的活动与习俗。
2. 能够初步运用First, then, next, finally…一系列表示先后顺序的副词来描述圣诞节的活动。

六、教学过程
Step 1 Before-reading
1. Enjoy a song: The dancing Christmas tree song(营造圣诞气氛)
4. Talk about the song:
T:What holiday is it?
S: Christmas.
Let’s talk about Christmas.
What do you know about Christmas?
Food ,things, songs.
根据学生的回答,逐个读有关圣诞节的单词:
(songs, Christmas tree, stocking, Christmas card, father Christmas, gift=> present)
Step 2 While-reading
1. Listen and choose
What is not mentioned in the story?
通过观看课文动画,让学生整体感知课文,并找出和圣诞节有关的物品,区别于其他节日活动)
2. Watch and order
T: Let’s watch the cartoon and order the four pictures. (出示四张图片,让学生看完动画把四幅图排序)
3.Learn to say
What to people usually do at Christmas?
学生自主选择四副图进行学习
(学一幅图,复述一幅图)
4. Think and match
T: Do you know when is Christmas?
Choose: A. 12.24 B. 12.25
(让学生做出判断,了解12.24是圣诞夜Christmas Eve,12.25是圣诞节Christmas Day,出示日历解释两个日期,并介绍另一个和圣诞有关的时间段before Christmas)
把四幅图放入这三个时间段中。
5.Read and retell the story.

Make a plan for Christmas Day
Homework:
1. Copy the new phrases.
2. Read and recite the passage.
3. Try to know more about other western holidays, e.g. Halloween, Thanksgiving Day.
Bb design:
Unit 8 At Christmas
First buy presents, buy Christmas tree, go to see Father Christmas
Next put pretty things on the Christmas tree, put presents under the Christmas
tree
Then put a stocking on the bed, wait for presents
Finally wake up early, open the presents, have a big lunch, eat a turkey and a pudding
